Interior & jacket design for middle-grade nonfiction title
It was exciting to work on STAR SAILOR, both because of the content and the format. Most of my photographic nonfiction work is limited to grayscale, but the four-color printing of STAR SAILOR meant that each layout could be that much more exciting and engaging. Other interesting design pieces include the photographic collage in the author’s note and a multiple-spread timeline, all of which needed to be curated and organized in a clear and meaningful way.
