This series was so much fun to work on! It was certainly a challenge to organize the various text elements, which included sidebars, captions, call outs, activities, and extensive backmatter. But, the end result is a colorful and dynamic series that combines interesting text, informative photographs, and irresistible illustrations in a wonderfully approachable way. Other design challenges were giving the books a cohesive look despite the differing authors and illustrators, juggling simultaneous publications/multiple editions, and a quick publishing timeline.
