Art direction for photographic biography
This project was equally moving and challenging. It was a privilege to help share Zion’s story through these incredible photographs. Beyond the design challenge of an extremely tight production schedule, I needed to illustrate this narrative using different image sources, all of varying resolutions and quality. In the end, I sourced images from a commissioned photoshoot, stock image sites, printed photographs from Zion’s own childhood, and even stills extracted from his social media videos. Along with clever use of overprinted black, the end result is a cohesively designed, beautiful biography suitable for a inspiration like Zion Clark.
