I was so excited to work on HOW WE CAN LIVE, the first children’s book with material from the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. The project involved working with illustrator Caryn Davidson to adapt her illustrations from the companion title, WHAT WE BELIEVE, for a full-color picture book. I worked with multiple levels of text, including questions and prompts for future discussion, as well as Caryn’s portraits and icons/patterns to illustrate each tenet. The result is a bright and colorful book that is engaging and informative.
